What To Expect

Our resident physicians are in year one, two or three of a 3-year program. We generally assign patients to a first or second year resident as their primary care provider in order to provide continuity for at least 2-3 years with that physician.

Our providers are also part of a team of doctors, including faculty physicians and other resident physicians who cover for each other when your physician is not available. Residents are supervised by faculty physicians in our clinic. Sometimes this is one-on-one supervision and sometimes this is indirect supervision, depending on the resident level of training and the medical situation.

Please arrive for your appointment 10-15 minutes early.  If it is your first time in the clinic and you have a detailed medical history, please arrive appropriately early to complete your medical history.  You should bring the following with you to the appointment:

Test Results

If you have laboratory of other tests your physcian will instruct you as to how you will be notified of the results.  Your may be contacted by phone, mail, or asked to come to the office for a visit.  Pap test results and pap reminders will be mailed.

Cancellation and Missed Appointments

We ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment.  We understand there may be circumstances where this is difficulty to predict, but we ask that you do your best, and to call as soon as you know you cannot make it.  For patients with repeated cancelled appointments, we are forced to discontinue services.
